Summer moonlight
touching my bed
brings gentle dreams.

The photograph is of the Catskill Mountains

Beautiful. Your photography is just so wonderful. You've told me your equipment before, but please tell again. I am so impressed with the close ups and clarity you get--and then here's a night distance photo just as beautiful.

How lovely, Endment. Gentle, soothing, restful. I just need Debussy's Clair de Lune playing in the background while I read this post ... :-).

And thank you for the link to One Deep Breath. I'll be visiting it again.

A moon, a moon and a perfect moon at that, one shining brightly over the Catskills. A perfect haiku to go with it too - this is absolutely wonderful, Endment.

Sorry about the previous (deleted) post - my blogger is doing a bit of burping this morning.

Reading your poem and then looking at the picture draws me in; it's almost hypnotic. It conveys to me the spell the moonlight casts as it draws you into sleep, while it pulls up the covers of darkness on the day.

A nice feeling of warm contentment. Thank you, Endment.

How I love the photo and poem. The view is much like the one in the Catkills I loved many years ago. Do you know the names of the mountains?

Can I get some help here? The definition of 'Haiku" in One Deep Breath (What a great blog name!) says it has 17 syllables in 3 lines in the order 5,7,5. I see many don't seem to fit this. What's up?

Endment,
I'm not an artist or poet but I am an appreciator---and I'm very good at what I do! I find I like Haiku more as I get older (and older and older...) which I think reflects my diminishing attention span. I admire the dense richness of a beautiful haiku.

Your exquisite poem and photo were much appreciated.
