Wonder

"The world will not perish for want of wonders,
But for want of wonder."
---JBS Haldane

"The fairest we can experience is the mysterious. It is the fundamental emotion which stands at the cradle of true art and true science. He who know it not and can no longer wonder, no longer feel amazement,is as good as dead, a snuffed out candle." ---Einstein

Ah, to wonder! One of my favourite passtimes. Of course, I like to wander, too, and am glad to have wandered by here tonight.

oh, yessss!

i am never more alive than when I am in awe of the great mysteries of nature. it is the thrill of those moments that drive us to truly live - to explore, to think, to be grateful, to wonder at our own existence, to ponder all the great mysteries of life.

i love this post.

Was it difficult to add the moon to your blogspace? I have gone to the website that is referenced, however, it appears the html text fails to paste in my html box. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Kathy

Some of my favorite words ever, and the photo is sublime. Thank you for reminding me that the world is a wondrous place - even when the days are short and the skies are grey.

I love Bittersweet--such a classic representation of autumn. The rich color on gray,...so perfect.

I had the same thought as Nina--I too love bittersweet.
We used to drive along a country road in the fall and pass a house that always had bittersweet hanging out on a line -- offering it for sale.

I am practicing wonder - hoping to find some many times each day (some days are much more difficult than others)

Thanks for visiting and commenting - I wish I had some technological insights - I simply followed bloggers guideline - Tech stuff is for other wise people
Anyone have any comments for her?

we are blessed with bittersweet - long ago I used to buy the trailing vines for decoration
I don't decorate as much inside since there are now so many wonderous things outside.

I presume that it is Bittersweet that we are looking at although some other species have berries like this too. Whatever, it is wonderful to see.
