When we were recently in Colorado, I sat in my friend's yard early one morning and watched a bright green hummingbird fly deliberately into the sprinkler spray over a period of about 10 minutes. It obviously was having an enchanting and extensive shower, and it was relishing every minute. Thanks for reminding me of that!
It is always a treat to see a hummingbird. I hadn't seen any for long years till I started visiting a local nature center that has a hummingbird feeder hanging out in a small opening in a woods near a pond.

I like that haiku, too. Simple, with a little twist to the end.
Wow, did you take that photograph? I always think there's something magical in catching a glimpse of a hummingbird...A small flitting blessing :)
Whenever I read here, I am always stunned how you find sacred in the ordinary.
